Born in Plymouth, Devon, England in January of 1882, Samuel Philip Viant was a Labour Party Member of Parliament for West Willesden. S.P. Viant was one of 12 elected officials of a committee composed of members of the House of Commons who were affiliated with, and worked with the Worker's Birth Control Group in England. He was involved in many discussions and parliamentary debates, some regarding world disarmament and the genetic effects of nuclear explosions.
Samuel Philip Viant died in June of 1964 in Chelsea, London, England.
