Alice Marjorie Martin was born in London on 19 November 1893. She married Percival William Martin, a British subject, on 12 July 1919. Mr. P.W. Martin was engaged as one of the very first officials of the ILO in January 1920. It is probable that Marjorie Martin followed him to Geneva in the summer of 1920. She also accompanied him to New York in 1927-28 where he went to complete his studies. She worked with Margaret Sanger on establishing Birth Control clinics, running organizations and with planning conferences. She died on 8 May 1976 in Warlingham, Surrey, UK.
